Other relevant alternatives: VRMMOG (Virtual Reality Massively-Multiplayer Online Gameworld) or MMOSWG (Massively-Multiplayer Online Super-World Game).
Many games/worlds post-Fountellion became known as V-SOWN (Virtual Super Online World of Nature) due to sharing characteristics of its persistently evolving nature models and variables, tied to complex weather models allowing for artificial life inhabitants to 'live' in many senses of the word.
